Top 5 funniest Instadads you must follow this #FATHERSDAY

At Mitera, we champion mamas for their dedication to their kids. But parenthood is a team effort and it’s important to always acknowledge the work of the other half.  While there is no ‘PERFECT’ in navigating the waters of parenting, here are some of the most authentic therefore the funniest instadads account that deserve a mention in honor of #FathersDay.

Through their relatable and hilarious posts, not only do these dads give you a much needed stress-relief in a form of a belly laugh but they also give you a valuable insight into parenting from the dad’s perspective.  Happy Father's Day!

1. @sbsolly  : It’s normal for new dads to overload Instagram with photos of their babies, but this brand new papa bear from Hackney, Sholom Ber Soloman,  does it with such creativity it will make you addicted to his account. The paired outfits he and his baby girl Zoe wear will make you laugh out loud.

2. @fashiondads_ : Who says dads can't be fashionable?

In today’s world filled with 50 shades of hipster dads, the concept of “fashionable dad” seems entirely possible.  But if you don’t live in Williamsburg or Silverlake, the term can perhaps take a different tone. Enter Ashley Husseltine aka "fathers on fleek” and the author of the popular blog Witty + Pretty, and his friend Travis May.  The account features dads from all shapes and sizes, with a well….’special’ sense of style. They can be found anywhere from grocery stores to gyms or beaches…                                                                                                           Here is how it works : Submit a pic (of you or anyone) with the hashtag #fashiondads to fashiondads@gmail.com, and they will upload the best ones online.

3. @realamericandadass : The description of his account says it all  “Dad to 4 pint-sized dictators. Follow along as my sanity slips through my fingertips…”. His account is full of totally relatable and hilarious #parenthoodIRL quotes that you almost want to scream “#MeToo!!!” and frame them on your wall.  And yeah, don’t forget to check out his kick-ass, all-too-relatable blog, too.

4. @howtodadnz :  Hailing from the Southern Hemisphear, Jordan Watson has been making parents laugh with his hilarious youtube videos on “How To Dad”  for a few years (this one is our favorite). You can catch this Kiwi dad’s most hilarious moments on his Insta account.

5. @father_of_daughters : Girl power is represented at its best for Simon Hooper,  father of four daughters, who describes himself as "outnumbered".  In his book published this year called « Forever Outnumbered » based on his popular instagram account (which has over 850K followers)  he says, “I’m the single male representative in a household of five women, or in other words, outnumbered.” In his instagram account, he displays his family through beautiful shots telling a heartwarming tale of a father who adores his daughters and lives to make them happy – but whose gender is significantly well...underrepresented in his home.

So, mamas.  As we always say “sharing is caring.”  We believe sharing parental duties and responsibilities as well as the underlying humors that go along with them make parenting more bearable, more fun and meaningful.  These Instadads have shown us parenting is not all about perfectly decorated nurseries and curated images of kids in designer clothes but these raw, relatable and hilarious moments sum up to parenting in its most beautiful form.
